- Client City of Vancouver Solutions Lab
How might the City work with grocery stores to influence and support the long-term adoption of behaviours that eliminate avoidable food waste by Vancouver’s grocers
and contribute to the City’s goal of zero food waste by 2040?
The City of Vancouver is seeking input from grocers to help create a sustainable made-in-Vancouver solution that prevents and reduces food waste, works locally and could be adopted by other communities as we all work towards zero waste. Using a “solutions lab” process, grocers will meet to uncover the sources of common food waste issues and then develop, select and test proto-type solutions.
I was brought into the Lab half way through the process to support and guide each teams’ concept evolution and prototyping efforts.
