GRID brand system

The aim of this project was to address the question: As OPEN Technologies’ flagship product, how can we help GRID show up? There were many iterations / treatments of the GRID brand, out-of-date visual content, and linkages between GRID deployments, webpages and other places have grown without a cohesive set of guidelines and strategy. GRID deployments are gaining momentum across Canada – it was due time to focus attention on branding + design with a whole systems and user experience lens.
GRID enables jurisdictions to run energy benchmarking and disclosure programs, providing a data backbone to inform policy development in service of energy and carbon efficient cities. Using a combination of histograms, charts, and maps, GRID provides interactive displays of information about participating regions and buildings.
