A short-term service supporting Indigenous Peoples with foundation ID that displays their Indigenous language name.
The new service Improves the current state by working with Indigenous clients to understand the need for, and co-develop, a respectful alternate spelling during name registration, while ensuring partners can deliver their services using the alternate spelling.
This service blueprint for the short-term process lays out a high level yet detailed overview of the sequence of steps and artifacts that enable service delivery. It was developed over a series of workshops with service partners including Vital Statistics, Health Insurance BC, and Insurance Corporation BC.
